WORCESTER – Yefim Gorodetsky, 95, died peacefully on Friday, August 11, 2023, at the Jewish Healthcare Center in Worcester, MA.
Yefim was born in Odessa, Ukraine, the son of Marcus and Riva (Osilevich) Gorodetsky. He earned a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Odessa Polytechnic Institute, and pursued a career in the Machine Tool Industry as a Mechanical Engineer. He and his beloved wife, Sima eventually immigrated to the United States, settling in Central Massachusetts, surrounded by his beloved family.
Yefim will be lovingly missed and remembered by his children, Jacob Gorodetsky and his wife, Tatyana of Holden, and Zoya Vulikh and her husband, Vladimir of Rutland; and his cherished grandchildren, Vladislav, Olga and her husband Chris, Dmitry and Catherine. He was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Sima (Duboff) Gorodetsky in 2013.
Family and friends will gather to honor Yefim’s life at a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 14 at the Jewish Healthcare Center, 629 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA. Interment will follow at Holy Society Cemetery, Havana Road, Leicester. Arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home of Holden.
