Biography
HOLDEN – Wyatt Scott Hazelton, 20, passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, May 5, 2016. He was born in New London, CT, the son of Kenneth T. and Sherry A. (Hutter) Hazelton.
Along with his parents, Wyatt leaves his brother, Ian E. Hazelton of Holden; his grandparents, Edward and Beverly Hutter of Akron, NY; aunts and uncles, Mary Ellen Orcutt of Akron, NY, Donald and Lorraine Hazelton of Centerville, PA, Lori and David Lukas of Genoa, NY, David and Marlene Hutter of Alden, NY and Evelyn Hazelton of Juneau, AK; along with many cousins and his beloved Bichon Frise “Ruby”. He is predeceased by his uncle, Alexander Hazelton.
Wyatt graduated from Wachusett Regional High School and was a student at Quinsigamond Community College studying to become an elementary school teacher. He worked part-time at the Jewish Community Center where he was a lifeguard, day care assistant and help teach swimming. He also was a lifeguard at the DCR pool in Clinton. He enjoyed gaming, animals, swimming and he built his own game computer. He loved spending time with his family and teaching children. He will be sadly missed by many.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Funeral services for Wyatt will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 12, in Heritage Bible Chapel, 182 Brook Station Road, Princeton. Burial will follow at Grove Cemetery in Holden. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jewish Community Center, Wyatt Scott Hazelton Fund (WSH), 633 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA 01609. This fund will be used to help teach Autistic children how to swim.
