PAXTON/HARWICH -- Agneta “Nita” J. (McCrealy) Woelflein of Harwich and Paxton, passed away in her daughter’s home in Holden surrounded by her loving family on Friday, November 25, 2006, after a brief illness.
Her husband, Richard D. Woelflein passed away in 1990. She leaves three children, Richard D. Woelflein, Jr. of Conway, New Hampshire, Jean Brunell and her husband Jonathan of Holden and Robert T. Woelflein and his wife Elizabeth of Hopkinton; six grandchildren, Jonathan, Ryan, Michael and Patrick Brunell, and Emily and Kate Woelflein; a sister, Mildred H. Foley of Worcester; and many nieces and nephews. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of John A. and H. Agnes (Stanton) McCrealy. She was the youngest of four daughters. Two sisters, Florence J. O’Neil and Marie A. Gaidis, predeceased her.
Nita graduated from the Ascension High School in Worcester and from the Forsyth School of Dental Infirmary in Boston and worked many years in Worcester as a dental hygienist. She was a member of the Ascension Alumnae Association, the American Dental Hygienists’ Association, the Worcester District Dental Hygienist Association, the Guild of Our Lady of Providence, and the “Bank Street Beach Nuts”, a social club that met most warm sunny days in Harwichport. She attended Holy Trinity Church in Harwich and was a member of St. Columba Church in Paxton, where she lived with her family for many years. She enjoyed traveling, swimming, and spending time with her family and friends on Cape Cod.
The funeral for Nita will be held on Wednesday, November 29, from the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Columba Church, 18 Richards Avenue, Paxton. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, 260 Cambridge Street, Worcester. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the VNA Care Hospice, 120 Thomas Street, Worcester, MA 01608.
