WESTMINSTER – Winifred “Winnie” A. (Parker) Streeter Gutleber, 89, a 60-year resident of Westminster, passed away peacefully under the loving care of her family, the staff at Leominster Crossings and the staff with Compassus Hospice on Tuesday, February 16, 2016, after an illness. Born in Gardner and raised in Orange, Winnie was the daughter of Harry A. and Alice May (Piper) Parker and lived in Westminster before moving to the Leominster Crossing Assisted Living community in 2014. Her husband, John A. Gutleber, died in 1997. Her first husband of 48 years, Donald I. Streeter, died in 1993. She leaves her son, Don M. Streeter and his wife, Diane of Salem, NH; two daughters, Alice M. Schmidt of Worcester and Beverly S. Mansfield and her husband, Richard of Holden; two step-sons, Richard Gutleber and his wife, Judy of Smithfield, Virginia and David Gutleber and his wife, Cheryl of Sugarland, Texas; two sisters, Betty Soucie of Athol and Beverly Thornton of Idaho; seven grandchildren, Christopher D. Streeter and his wife, Liz of Royalston, Jacqueline P. Streeter of Revere, Ashley E. Fox and her husband, Daniel of Holden, Richard S. Mansfield of Holden, Leanne, Jennifer and Shelley; great-grandchildren; and nephews and nieces. Winnie graduated from Orange High School in 1944 and was the bookkeeper at Star Container Corp. in Leominster for over 20 years before her retirement. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Westminster for over 50 years. Winnie enjoyed playing golf and was a longtime member of Westminster Country Club where she played in their women’s golf league and made two hole-in-ones. She looked forward to family gatherings and was proud of her children and grandchildren. She will be lovingly missed by her family and friends and will be remembered for her gentle, unassuming and kind nature.
