Princeton - William H. Sandberg, Jr., 82, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, December 26, 2023. He was born in Worcester, the son of the late William H. and Mabel (Embair) Sandberg and was raised in Oxford.
William graduated from Oxford High School and went on to proudly serve in the U.S. Army. He married his beloved, Sophie (Lupenski) and the couple settled in Princeton in 1969. William devoted 41 years to his work at Norton Co./St. Gobain in Worcester, retiring as a supervisor in 2005. William was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing.
William will be lovingly missed and remembered by his wife of 58 years, Sophie (Lupienski) Sandberg; his son, William E. Sandberg of Princeton; his daughter, Kristin Amons and her husband, Paul of Oakham; his grandchildren, Jeremy Amons, Jordyn Martin, Nathan Amons and Kaylee Amons. He was also predeceased by his son, Kurt Sandberg; and his brothers, Gordon and Steven Sandberg.

Funeral services are private and under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306.
