Sherry Atkinson, Capt. Duncan McMillan and Capt. R.T. "Bob" Walsh, as well as Ewen Gilmour and Eamonn Flanagan from the UK. Bill was also good friends with his Schuster cousins Ann, Sue, and Kay, and their husbands Gene Dix, David Cave and Ron Baird and their father and Bill’s favorite, Uncle Winfield A. Schuster. Special thanks are expressed to Oncologist David S. Shepro, MD and Nurse Practitioner Michelle Proos, as well as his staff, especially Amy Heislein for their skilled care and friendship in treating Bill's Myeloma since mid-2010. He would like to thank the staff at JHC Hospice including Donna Robert, RN, Dennis Paquette, RN, Emily Pattee, LCSW, John Pastor, Minister, and Shannon, and Margaret. In addition, Bill would also like to express his gratitude for Laura Dube’s Private Home Care team for their kindness and excellent care. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service celebrating Bill’s life on Saturday, March 26, at 10:00 a.m. at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Douglas will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Simon Fairfield Public Library, 209 Main Street, Douglas, MA 01516.
