Hubbardston – William “Marshal” Orr, 80, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, November 24, 2023. He was born in Worcester, the son of Fulton B. and Marion (Joynes) Orr and had lived in Hubbardston for 47 years.
Marshall grew up in Worcester and graduated from Commerce High School with the class of 1962. He had a lifelong passion for repairing cars and chose to pursue a career as a mechanic. Marshall along with his brother, Fulton Jr. went on to own Orr Brothers Garage in Rutland where they served customers for over 20 years. Marshall was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and enjoyed nothing more than to spend time with his family.
Marshall is survived by his loving wife of 60 years and high school sweet heart, Janice M. (Callahan) Orr; his son, William Orr, Jr. and his wife, Dawn of Barre; his daughter, Deborah J. Orr of Oxford; his sisters, Marilyn Davis of Worcester and Hillary Provost of Oxford; his grandchildren, Ashley Orr and her husband, Brandon Toohill, Jamie Orr-Gentile, Zachary Orr, Joshua Orr, Angelina Orr and Tara Connole; his great grandchildren, Blake, Rylee, Rhyan and Regan; as well as several nieces and nephews. Marshall was also predeceased by his brother, Fulton B. Orr, Jr. and her sister, Melissa Provost.
