HOLDEN – William K. Rocheleau, 79, died peacefully at UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus, Worcester on Tuesday, May 3, 2016. He was born in Worcester, the son of William J. and Ozina (Vincent) Rocheleau. William is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Cecile I. (Morin) Rocheleau of Holden; as well as several nephews and nieces, including Felix, David and Mark Fikucki; Dawn Dawson, William, Michael and James Rocheleau, Forrest Morin, Rhonda Howe, Lorna Pallard, Lance Morin and Amanda Thompson as well as several great nephews and nieces and his very dear friend, Richard E Blood, Jr. and his family. His sister Jeanne and brother Michael (Mickey) predeceased Bill by many years. William grew up in Worcester and graduated from Classical High School with the class of 1954. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and proudly served during the Korean War. Following his discharge from the military, Bill worked as a meat cutter in the Worcester area. He went on to work as a federal meat inspector for the USDA, retiring at the age of 70. In his retirement years, Bill and Cecile enjoyed travelling throughout Europe. He loved gardening and tending to his yard, which was his pride and joy. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, May 9 at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 10, at Saint Joseph’s Church, 35 Hamilton St., Worcester. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester will be private.
