Biography
WORCESTER – William B. Granoff, age 89, died on Friday, December 2nd, in the Jewish Healthcare Center.
He leaves his wife of 60 years, Susan (Kranich) Granoff; a son, Michael D. Granoff of New York City; a daughter, Amy Rohald of Phoenix, AZ; five grandchildren, Benjamin, Kate and Jonathan Rohald and Sarah and Caroline Granoff. He was predeceased by his brother Irving Granoff.
He was born in Brookline and was a son of Morris and Eva (Weiner) Granoff and had lived in Worcester for 56 years.
He co-owned and operated Kranich Jewelers at 550 Main Street in Worcester for many years, retiring a number of years ago. He was a member of Temple Emanuel Sinai and its Brotherhood, the Jewish Healthcare Center, the Jewish Community Center and the Worcester Lodge of B’Nai Brith. He was a volunteer at the Senior Center for several years.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 2:00PM ON SUNDAY, DECEMBER 4th IN TEMPLE EMANUEL SINAI, 661 SALISBURY STREET, WORCESTER UNDER THE DIRECTION OF RICHARD PERLMAN OF MILES FUNERAL HOME OF HOLDEN. Burial will be in B’Nai Brith Cemetery.
Memorial Observance will be held at the family residence at 21 Summerland Way through Sunday Evening, December 4th and on Monday, December 5th and Tuesday, December 6th from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
