PAXTON – William M. Foley, 92, beloved husband of the late Marilyn (Jerome) Foley, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loved ones on Monday, December 7, 2020. Born in Webster, he was a son of John and Ida (Morrissey) Foley.
Bill graduated from Fitchburg State College where he earned his master’s degree. He proudly served his country with the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion, Paxton Post 306. He enjoyed a long career at the former Worcester Vocational High School where he taught drafting. He was a dedicated and faithful member of St. Columba Church. Bill was an amateur radio operator and an avid reader with a passion for poetry. In his spare time he could often be found sailing, walking or biking.
He will be lovingly missed and remembered by his two sons, Thomas Foley and his wife, Junko of Japan and Michael Foley and his wife, Cindy of Paxton; his two daughters, Mary Foley and her husband, Lawrence Healy of Lakeville and Patty Foley-Reid and her husband, Jack Reid of Littleton; and five grandchildren, Elise, Ethan, Oscar, A.J. and Abby. In addition to his wife of 65 years, he was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters.
