RUTLAND/NATICK - William “Bill” C. Styffe, 33, of Rutland, formerly of Natick, entered into eternal life on Saturday, November 9, 2013 in Port Orange, Florida.
Bill was raised in Natick and attended Natick Schools. He was a talented athlete and played through the Natick Little League, Natick Comets Hockey and Natick Jr. Redman Football programs. He was a captain on his high school freshman football team and also played high school hockey. Bill later became an avid golfer spending many days on area golf courses. He worked as a bartender/waiter at several upscale restaurants throughout the Boston/Metro West area and Florida. Those that knew Bill will miss his quick wit, sense of humor and his sincerity when it came to friends and family.
Bill is survived by his parents, Philip and Nancy (Hart) Styffe of Rutland; his sister and best friend, Ruthann O’Sullivan and her husband Bill of Rutland; his grandmother, Marilyn (Lynch) Hart of Rutland; the true loves of his life, his niece and nephew, Grace and Billy O’Sullivan; his aunts and uncles, William Hart of Torrance, CA; his Godfather, Robert Hart and his wife Janice of Medway, Carl Styffe and his wife Alicia of DeLand, FL and Dana Styffe and his wife Denise of Arlington; and several cousins as well.
A memorial service honoring Bill’s life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 23, at St. Francis Episcopal Church, 70 Highland Street, Holden. Interment will follow in Rural Cemetery, Rutland. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Spectrum House, 155 Oak St., Westborough, MA 01581.
