Wendy R. Tripp

July 18, 1951 — October 20, 2019

WORCESTER – Wendy R. Tripp, 68, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 20, 2019 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Ed and June (Kalat) Sato and graduated from Burncoat High School in 1969 where she was voted “most witty” in her yearbook. After that Wendy attended the Leland Powers School of Radio.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Michael S. Prostak; her daughters, Michaela L. Prostak of Providence, RI and Gretta J. Prostak and her husband, Matthew Villavicencio of Worcester; her precious granddaughter, Dylan; her best friend of 56 years, Norah Ferrie of Rutland; her Godson, Christian Deering of CT; her “adopted son,” Brett Aromando of Worcester; her sister-in-law, Nancy Prostak of Auburn; her cousin, Claudia Eilertsen Chartrand of Orleans; and her extended family in Hawaii, New Orleans, and Oregon.

Wendy was a beloved sales associate for over twenty years at the West Boylston Wal-Mart. She was an accomplished artist in painting, drawing, and even sculpting and has proudly displayed some of her work at the Worcester Art Museum. But Halloween costumes and science projects were always her specialty. She was an animal lover and had numerous pets over the years including many rescues and fosters.

Wendy was a cool child of the 60s. Music was a huge part of her life, especially that of Bruce Springsteen, the Grateful Dead, Warren Zevon, and many more. She always had a story to tell and she’ll be ever so missed by the lives she touched. She wanted to have a private party to celebrate her life which will be set up in the near future by family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Wendy’s name to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden Street, Worcester, MA 01606. Arrangements are under the care of the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.

“Together, Wendy, we can live with the sadness, I’ll love you with all the madness in my soul. Oh, someday, girl, I don't know when, we're gonna get to that place where we really wanna go and we'll walk in the sun, but 'til then, tramps like us, baby, we were born to run.”
