Wendy L. Mcmanus

Holden - Wendy L. (Johnson) McManus, age 67, passed away peacefully on the morning of Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at UMass Memorial Medical Center - University Campus in Worcester. She was born in Worcester, the cherished daughter of the late Bertil and Veronica (Cooke) Johnson.

Wendy grew up in Holden, where she graduated with the class of 1975 from Wachusett High School. In 1985, she married the love of her life, John J. McManus, and together they built a lifetime of memories in their forever home on Mixter Road, Holden. Wendy dedicated herself wholeheartedly to nurturing her family and home. She found joy in the simple yet profound pleasures of life: tending to her garden, preparing meals filled with love, and embracing the beauty of nature. She especially cherished the music of The Beatles, which filled her days with peace and joy. Known for her warmth and creativity, Wendy delighted in hosting holiday gatherings, ensuring her home was a place of celebration and togetherness.

Wendy leaves behind her devoted husband of 38 years, John J. McManus; her daughters, Kaylyn Genovese and her husband, Anthony, of Southborough, Lori McManus of Worcester and Taylor McManus of Worcester; her step-daughter, Kelly Vanasse of Connecticut; her step-son, Jonathan McManus and his wife, Kelly, of Sterling; her sister, Jean Cook of Holden; and her five adored grandchildren: Evelyn, Hannah, David, Kael, and Xavier, all of whom will carry her memory close to their hearts.

Funeral services are private and entrusted to the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
