BARRE – David W. Cobb, 51, of Hubbardston Road, a 15-year resident of Barre, passed away unexpectedly and went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 21, 2011.
He leaves his loving wife of 27 years, Diane P. (Coffey) Cobb; two sons, Benjamin R. Cobb of South Boston and Samuel J. Cobb of Barre; two daughters, Ann E. Cobb of Boston and Jessie L. Cobb of Barre; a loving niece, Abigail M. Iverson who has been residing with the family for eight years; his parents, Gerald W. and Sara (Greason) Cobb of Sherborn; three brothers, Thomas F. Cobb and his wife Deborah of Manchester, NH, Stephen B. Cobb and his wife Susan of Andover and Christopher R. Cobb and his wife Pamela of Medway; his in-laws, John and Patricia Coffey of Sandwich; and many nieces and nephews.
David was raised in Sherborn and was a graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston. He was superintendent at Hodess Construction Co. in North Attleboro for many years and also owner and operator of D.W.C. & Company in Barre.
He was a faithful member of Heritage Bible Chapel in Princeton where he was active in church missions including trips to Pakistan and Mississippi. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hiking, skiing, fishing and golfing. Most of all he was a loving husband, father, brother and son.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 26th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. The funeral service and Celebration of his Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 27th, in the Heritage Bible Chapel, 182 Brooks Station Road, Princeton.
