PAXTON – Wayne Pinkham, 71, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2017 at UMass Memorial Medical Center – Memorial Campus. Born in Augusta, Maine, Wayne was the son of the late Everett L. and Marion M. (Buzzell) Pinkham and lived over 50 years in Paxton. Wayne was a graduate of Wachusett Regional High School, class of 1964. After graduating high school, he honorably served his country for several years in the U.S. Navy Reserve. Wayne worked in sales at local auto part stores including CT Auto Parts in Worcester and most recently, Fisher Auto Parts in Holden. He enjoyed rebuilding and working on vintage cars, and in the winter, attended many ice car racing events. He attended the First Congregational Church of Paxton, and will be remembered for his sense of humor, quick wit, independent spirit and love for animals. He leaves his sister, Leslie D. Pinkham of Worcester, several cousins and many close friends. Relatives and friends will honor Wayne’s life by attending a visiting hour from 12 noon to 1 pm. on Tuesday, January 16, at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden, followed by a funeral service at 1 pm.
