Wayne E. Kraemer Jr.

November 19, 1955 — September 4, 2024

Wayne E. Kraemer Jr. 68, of Princeton MA passed away on Sept. 4th at home after a recent diagnosis of cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family and is now home with his Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ.

Wayne was born on November 19, 1955 in Clinton MA the son of his late parents, Wayne & Patricia Kraemer of Berlin MA

He graduated from Tahonto Regional High School in 1973 and Associate Technical Institute in Somerville in 1974 for HVAC.

Wayne worked in the HVAC field for 50 years at Victory Supermarkets, Worcester County Refrigeration and then joined ACE Temp Control in 2014 and worked until his illness.

On January 19, 1980, Wayne married the love of his life, Laurie (Perkins) Kraemer, fondly named "Sweets", Darling and Mrs. Kraemer. He loved her unconditionally. They have lived in the same home in East Princeton since 1981. He was her Steady Eddy and her Norman. Together they raised 3 wonderful children, Ben, Nick & Kelly.

Wayne had a bigger than life personality, a true man's man. A man of simple pleasures, he read the newspaper every single day. He enjoyed all of the New England sports teams and championship games with family. He liked gardening and was proud of his prized tomatoes. He was a huge fan of John Wayne movies and played poker with his Princeton friends. He enjoyed watching Jeopardy every night until Alex Trebek left the show. He also coached little league for his boys and was the President of the Princeton Little League for a few years. He played golf in many tournaments in Myrtle Beach. He had a great sense of humor and loved to make us laugh.

His biggest passion in life besides his family was fishing. He enjoyed his annual opening day at the Quabbin Reservoir for over 50 years with his friend Danny and other friends and also fished at the Wachusett Reservoir with friends David & Don for many years. Ice fishing at Perkins Pond and Deering Reservoir in NH became his favorite sport. He loved the solitude and enjoyed God's creation.

Wayne left a giant legacy and had a servant's heart, always helping others. He served at his church, Heritage Bible Chapel as the head of the Fellowship Committee for 20 years. During those years, he served 1000's of people with his famous chicken barbecue, funerals, baptisms, fundraisers and more. He went on several mission trips to Guatemala with his wife and church. He helped anyone in need, fixing a refrigerator or a heating system. He also helped friends and family with moving or setting up functions, barbecuing for their weddings including his only daughter's wedding. He enjoyed many years of tailgating and preparing food for all of the football players for Wachusett Regional High School. He also served the Prentiss Family Reunion as an auctioneer, and the head of hospitality for almost 40 years.

A family man, Wayne served his family well. He had a true work ethic and hardly missed a day of work in 50 years. He always hosted Thanksgiving at his house in Princeton with many family members. He had an open-door policy for whoever wanted to come. He enjoyed having a Guiness beer and played the song Alice's Restaurant every year while preparing his turkey. He enjoyed many family dinners and made homemade pizza on Friday nights and made Boppa's tacos and fed ice cream to all of his grandsons. He took many family summer vacations to Ocean Park Maine with his children and grandsons. Wayne & Laurie enjoyed playing the card game3-13 and listening to John Denver and Frank Sinatra out on their patio. They celebrated many anniversary dinners together and for the past 6 years they had wonderful vacations to Acadia National Park.

Wayne's well known greeting to family and friends "Hey Kid", was a term that was endearing to many.

Wayne leaves his loving wife Laurie (Sweets) of 44 years, his sons Benjamin and wife Danielle of Leominster, Nicholas and wife Rebecca of Princeton and his daughter Kelly and husband Jonathan who lived with them for the past year. Fondly known as Boppa, he leaves his 6 grandsons, Wyatt, Emmett, Maverick, John Wayne, Waylon & Jaxson. He also leaves his brother Mark Kraemer and wife Katie of Shrewsbury, brother & sister in-law's Don & Nancy Kosiewski of Lancaster, Jeanne & Bob Woodward of Maryland along with many nieces and nephews, many close friends, his church family and his work friends. He will be dearly missed by all that loved him.
