PRINCETON – Wayne D. Dano, 75, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at the Lutheran Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in Worcester after an illness. He was born in Worcester, the son of the late Albertus and Claire (King) Dano and had lived in Princeton the past 30 years.
He leaves his loving wife of 30 years, Sandra L. (Wambach) Dano; his children, Danielle Zenus and her husband, Joseph of Milford, Robert Creamer and his wife, Catherine, and Laura (Creamer) Tupper and her husband, Barry of Holden; his brothers, George Dano and his wife Shirley of Webster, and Al Dano and his wife, Nancy of Worcester; his five grandchildren, Ryan and Landen Tupper, Abigail and Greyson Creamer and Jaxon Zenus; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his grandson, Aaron Zenus, his son, Stephen Dano, and his twin brother, Dwight Dano.
Wayne graduated from South High School in Worcester and proudly served his country and enlisted into the Air Force in 1966. He served with 834th Services Squadron and served two tours in Vietnam. After his honorable discharge in 1970, Wayne was a maintenance tech for several area hospitals and nursing homes before retiring. He enjoyed woodworking, oil painting, and listening to the oldies. Wayne was devoted to his family, and he could always be found puttering around his yard and working on a project.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 17th in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Funeral services with military honors will be held at10 a.m. on Saturday, March 18th in the funeral home. A private committal service for Wayne will be held on Monday, March 20th at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon.
