LEOMINSTER/WORCESTER – Walter Sepulveda, Sr., 71, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester.
He leaves his wife, Norma I. (Lopez) Sepulveda; two sons, Walter “Wally” Sepulveda, Jr. and Christian Lee Sepulveda of Newton, North Carolina; two step-children, Alexander Santana of Taunton and Brenda Santana of Worcester; two brothers, Diego Sepulveda of Worcester and Ermitanio Sepulveda of Westfield; three sisters, Ana Sepulveda of Puerto Rico, Amparo Sepulveda and Rosa Sepulveda-Perez both of Worcester; three grandchildren; and many loving nephews and nieces.
He was born in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico, the son of Raul and Horacia (Mercado) Sepulveda and had lived in Worcester and North Carolina before moving to Leominster in 2004. Walter was a truck driver for Hickory Springs Manufacturing in North Carolina. After retiring he worked part time for Shriver Job Corps and was a school bus driver for the Leominster school department. He was a longtime member of the Sterling Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, November 25, in the Miles-Sterling Funeral Home and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road (Rte. 12), Sterling. A graveside service for Walter will take place at 9 a.m. on Saturday, November 26, at Evergreen Cemetery, 357 Main Street (Rte. 13), Leominster, followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. in the Sterling Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 80 Leominster Road (Rte. 12), Sterling. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Association, Massachusetts Chapter, 75 Mcneil Way,Dedham, MA 02026; or the Browning/South Lancaster Academy, c/o of Sterling Seventh-Day Adventist Church, P.O.
