HOLDEN - Virginia C. (Beshai) DuPont, 82, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at UMass Memorial Medical Center - University Campus, Worcester. Born in West Boylston, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Angela M. (Syvestri) Beshai and a graduate of West Boylston High School.
Virginia met and married her beloved, Roy W. DuPont, and they settled in Holden. She devoted herself to being a full-time mother and homemaker for many years. Later on, she utilized her skills as a florist while working at the Country Mouse in West Boylston. Virginia found joy in sewing, cooking, theatre, and exploring the world with her husband. Above all, she cherished the roles of being a mother and grandmother. Virginia was an active member of St. George Church in Worcester.
She will be lovingly missed and remembered by her husband of 62 years, Roy W. DuPont; her son, Michael DuPont, and his wife, Jennifer Carlson, of Rutland; her daughter, Lisa Lange of Redmond, WA; her sister, Mary Caputo of West Boylston; and her grandchildren, Noah DuPont, Trevor Lange, and Amelia Lange.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 5, 2024, at St. George Church, 40 Brattle Street, Worcester. Burial will follow at Mt. Vernon Cemetery, West Boylston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
