Biography
CLINTON – Viola M. (Cameron) Freel, 94, formerly of Clinton, passed away peacefully at the Marlborough Hills Healthcare Center where she went to join her Savior on Wednesday, November 2, 2011.
She was born in Clinton, the daughter of Robert L. and Mae A. (Brigham) Cameron and lived in Clinton most of her life. Her husband, Albert T. Freel died in 1977. She leaves and will be greatly missed by her son, Thomas A. Freel of Sterling; two daughters, Lois A. Grindle and her husband Robert of New Gloucester, ME and Marilyn M. Brady and her husband Dennis of Westborough; 5 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; nephews and nieces. A brother, Arthur Cameron and a sister, Edna Donnelly predeceased her.
Viola enjoyed playing the piano and organ. She was a woman of great faith and was a member of the Faith Bible Baptist Church in Clinton which was an important part of her life.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Viola’s family from 10 to 10:45 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 7, at the Faith Bible Baptist Church, Clinton. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Clinton. Memorial contributions may be made to the Faith Bible Baptist Church, 391 High St., Clinton, MA 01510. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling.
