WORCESTER – Veronica "Vera" M. (Parajeckas) Savage, formerly of Rose Street, passed away peacefully at the Overlook Masonic Healthcare Center, Charlton on Thursday, March 18, 2010. She was 91.
Her husband, Anthony C. Savage, died in 1985. She leaves her loving sister and best friend, Isabella B. Hennessey of Charlton; many nephews and nieces including Denise A. Fogarty and Karen M. Janes, both of Charlton and formerly of Holden; a sister-in-law, Camille Parajeckas of Worcester; and many great-nephews and great-nieces. A brother, Albert R. Parajeckas predeceased her in 1990 and a sister, Mary Francis Alarie in 2001. She was born in Worcester on March 30, 1918, a daughter of Victor A. and Antoinette (Azelskas) Parajeckas, and lived in Worcester most of her life before recently moving to Overlook. She was a graduate of St. Casimir's School in Worcester and enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with her family.
Vera's family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the entire 3rd floor SNF staff at Overlook for their unending compassion, love, and extraordinary care given to her. She truly felt a part of their family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. on Monday, March 22nd, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, 162 Webster Street, Worcester.
