HOLDEN – Anthony V. DiNoia, 78, of 47 Fairview Avenue, Jefferson, died peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving wife and children on Friday, January 5, 2007.
He leaves his wife of 55 years, Barbara A. (Cronin) DiNoia; six children, Leonard DiNoia and his wife Susan of Holden, Michael DiNoia and his wife Linda of Centerville, Mary DiNoia Martin and Conrad Martin of Coral Springs, Florida, Paul DiNoia and his wife Cynthia of Jefferson, John DiNoia of Jefferson and James DiNoia and Kristine of Thompson, Connecticut; two brothers, Stephen DiNoia of Shrewsbury and Frank DiNoia of Worcester; a sister, Grace Jennings of Maryland; 10 grandchildren; several nephews and nieces. His brother, Lawrence and sister, Anne predeceased him. He was born in Worcester the son of Leo and Isabella (Sciascia) DiNoia and lived 42 years in Jefferson.
Mr. DiNoia was a masonry contractor and in 1940 founded with his father, Leo DiNoia and Sons Construction Company in Worcester, which he owned and operated until his retirement in 1999. He was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Jefferson.
The funeral for Mr. DiNoia will be held from the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden on Thursday, January 11, with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 114 Princeton Street, Jefferson. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10, in the funeral home.
