WEST BOYLSTON - Ursula V. (Rapp) Helle, 79, passed away peacefully at home with her husband by her side on May 8, 2023. Born in Rastatt, Germany, Ursula was the daughter of Ernst and Anna (Fuery) Rapp.
She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Philip F. Helle; a son, Steven Traugh and his wife, Jennifer of Palmer; two stepsons, Steven Helle and his wife, Meghan of Scituate, and Joel Helle of Phoenix, AZ; a stepdaughter, Julie Grignon and her husband, Paul of Brimfield; three brothers, Werner, Hans, and Horst Rapp all of Germany; and eight grandchildren, Thomas and Peter Traugh, Jacqueline, Danielle, Olivia, and Nicholas Helle, and Cameron and Jace McCarthy.
Ursula was raised in Bietigheim, Germany where she lived until moving to the United States in 1964. She lived in Oklahoma for several years and briefly Leominster before moving to West Boylston in 1983.
She worked as a restaurant manager at the Holiday Inn in Leominster, and later for eleven years in the Radiation/Oncology Department at UMass Memorial Medical Center - University Campus.
Ursula enjoyed tending to her flower and vegetable gardens in her back yard where she felt most at home with her memories of gardening in Germany. She made many lifelong friends while line dancing at the former "The Barn" in Northborough.
She was proud of her German heritage and will be remembered for her kind and gentle nature.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Ursula's family from 12:00 to 1:30 PM on Saturday, May 20th, at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden, followed by a memorial service at 1:30 PM.
