HOLDEN – Shirley “Tudy” M. (Neal) Finocchio, 65, of Holden, died at home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, July 22, 2007.
She leaves her husband of 42 years, Mario F. Finocchio; a son, Anthony M. Finocchio and his wife Heather A. Cantwell of Charlestown; a daughter, Jessica (Finocchio) Massery and her husband Daniel of Holden; two sisters, Marylou DeCollibus of Englewood, Florida and Kate Petkus of Port Orange, Florida; a grandson, Andrew Hotaling; and many nephews and nieces. Her son, Daniel S. Finocchio, died in 1985. A sister, Ruthann McNabb, predeceased her. She was born in Framingham, daughter of William T. and Shirley (Brown) Neal, and lived in Holden since 1971.
Mrs. Finocchio graduated from Marian High School in Framingham, Shepard-Gill School of Practical Nursing in Boston and Emerson Hospital in Concord. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse for over 32 years working in the Boston, Holden and Worcester areas. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church and was a past Chairperson of The Compassionate Friends, Inc. in Worcester.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 25th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. The funeral for Mrs. Finocchio will be held on Thursday, July 26th, from the funeral home, with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 114 Princeton Street, Jefferson. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Donations in her memory may be made to the Daniel S.
