PAXTON – Helen T. (Fadgen) Sheehan, 78, of 652 Pleasant Street, died Monday, January 8, 2007, in UMass Memorial Healthcare, Worcester.
Her husband of 48 years, Robert P. Sheehan, died in 1996. She leaves two sons, Robert P. Sheehan of Paxton and William T. Sheehan and his wife Shirley of Vallejo, California; two daughters, Nancy J. Sheehan of Spencer and Mary E. Sheehan of Mt. Kisco, New York; two sisters, Ann Johnson of Port Clinton, Ohio and Marion Mitchell of Pinehurst, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Amanda Sheehan of Vallejo and Samuel and John Townsend of Mt. Kisco; nieces, nephews and cousins. Her son, Edward F. Sheehan died in 2002. She is also predeceased by a sister, Jayne Witt. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Edward and MayBell C. (Smith) Fadgen, was raised in Shrewsbury and has lived in Paxton since 1949.
Mrs. Sheehan was a graduate of Shrewsbury High School and worked 20 years at the Central District Court in Worcester, retiring in 1992. She was a member of St. Columba Church, an avid reader, enjoyed knitting and spending time with her grandchildren.
The funeral for Mrs. Sheehan will be held on Saturday, January 13, from the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Columba Church, 18 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. Burial will follow in Mooreland Cemetery, 251 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday in the funeral home.
