HOLDEN/WEBSTER – Patricia “Trish” Inez (Ogletree) Martin, 72, of Jefferson, went home to be with the Lord on June 2, 2010.
Her husband of 35 years, Leo G. Martin died in 1990. She is survived by her son, Joseph Martin and his wife Grace of Windham, Maine; four daughters and their husbands, Denise and Gerry Powiliatis of Panama City, Florida, Terry and Tom Gingras of N. Oxford, Kathleen and Steve King of Holden and Deborah and Jonathan Lucier of Jefferson. She enjoyed being a grandmother to her 17 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her son, L. Michael Martin and her father, Andrew Hillman Ogletree, Jr. Pat was born in Great Falls, South Carolina and lived in Washington, D.C. before moving to Massachusetts in 1955. She leaves her family in Virginia including her 90 year old mother, Mary Louise (Killian) Ogletree; 2 brothers, Andrew Hillman Ogletree, III and William Ogletree; and two sisters, Hilda Thomas and Ellen Franklin.
Pat worked for the College of the Holy Cross as a secretary in the Physics Department for 25 years. She was a member of Holden Chapel, loved reading, gardening and spending time with her family.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 18, 2010 (her 55th wedding anniversary) at Holden Chapel, 279 Reservoir Road, Holden, MA 01520. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holden Chapel. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden, is assisting the family with arrangements.
