HOLDEN – Anthony J. DeSimone, Jr., 47, of South Road, died unexpectedly on Saturday, August 14, 2010 in UMass Memorial Heathcare-University Campus, Worcester, after a brief illness.
He leaves his wife of 14 years, LuAnn DiPerrio; his mother, Dorothy (Booker) Blondin of Worcester; a brother, John DeSimone of Worcester; two sisters, Gina Lemarise and her husband Michael of Worcester and Christine Clark and her husband Dale of Canada; mother-in-law, Ginny DiPerrio of Holden; a daughter, Mandie of Tennessee; his father, Anthony J. DeSimone of CA; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was born and raised in Worcester and has lived in Holden for the last 16 years.
Tony attended Worcester schools and owned and operated A. DeSimone Roofing and Carpentry in Holden. He also worked for Mahoney Construction in Rutland. He was a member of St. Mary's Church and enjoyed his career and his cat, Tiger.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 18th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. The funeral will be held on Thursday, August 19th, from the funeral home with an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, 114 Princeton Street, Jefferson. Memorial donations may be made to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden Street, Worcester, MA 01606.
