HOLDEN – Mary T. (McGann) Jenza, 87, of Torrey Lane, died Monday, December 10, 2007 in Saint Vincent Hospital, Worcester, after an illness.
Her husband of 48 years, Stephen J. Jenza, died in 1997. She leaves two brothers, Thomas M. McGann of Hollywood, FL, and William P. McGann of Princeton; and many nephews and nieces. Five brothers, Owen A. McGann, Sr., James J. McGann, Michael F. McGann, John McGann, and Bernard McGann, who was killed in action during World War II and three sisters, Catherine E. Livingston, Helen A. Carlson, and Margaret Johnson predeceased her. She was born in Rutland, daughter of Michael M. and Mary E. (Carlson) McGann, and lived in Rutland and Worcester before moving to Holden in 1950. For the last year she has been living with her niece, Marjorie and her husband Robert McCarthy in Rutland.
Mrs. Jenza was a graduate of Rutland High School. She worked for Norton Company in Worcester for 35years where she was a member of the Norton Women’s 25-year Club, retiring in 1977. She was a member of St. George’s Church and its Women’s Guild.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, December 14th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. A funeral Mass for Mrs. Jenza will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 15th, in St. Patrick’s Church, 290 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Rutland. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery, Main Street (Rte. 122A), Rutland.
