HOLDEN - Thomas J. Provost, 54, died peacefully at home on Thursday, December 3, 2020. He was born in Worcester, the son of Deanna (Lalone) Provost and Joseph D. Provost and lived in Worcester, Florida and more recently in Holden.
Thomas graduated from Worcester Vocational Technical High School with the class of 1984. He went on to work as a Printer for State Mutual Insurance Company for over ten years and continued working in the field of Printing for several years after. Thomas later worked as a custodian for the Holden Public Schools and tended bar at Colbrooks Cove in Worcester. After moving to Florida, he worked installing stone waterfalls in private residences.
Thomas had a lifelong passion for sports and especially enjoyed cheering on the Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins and the Worcester Ice Cats. He was known for his extensive knowledge of trivia and could be seen firing out answers while watching Jeopardy on any given night. Thomas also loved challenging his friends to a game of Pool and playing softball. He enjoyed music and loved the Grateful Dead. His kind and fun-loving spirit will be missed by all who knew him.
Thomas is survived by his son, Nicholas Fullen of Worcester; his sister, Linette Provost of Holden; his brother, Joseph D. Provost Jr. of Texas; his Aunt, 'Laine Lane and Uncle, Godfrey Lane of London, UK; his Aunt, Janet Sefakis of Worcester; his Aunt, Lou Lambert of Florida; many cousins; and his beloved cats, Doodles and BooBoo.
A Memorial service honoring and celebrating Thomas' life will be held at a later date to be determined. Memorial Contributions may be made to Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation,
