Biography
STERLING – Thomas W. Davis, 79, a resident of Sterling for more than 50 years, died peacefully on December 16, 2014, at HealthAlliance Hospital, Leominster. He was born in Goffstown, NH, a son of the late James A. and Ethel M. (Gable) Davis.
Tom graduated from New London (NH) High School. He spent several years serving in the National Guard. Tom worked as a quality control inspector for Digital Equipment Corporation in Marlborough and Salem, NH before retiring. He previously worked for ITT/Suprenant and Colonial Press. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and looked forward to the daily visits at his favorite spots in town to just say hello. He loved old cars, especially classics from the 50’s.
His beloved wife of 56 years, Marion E. (Morris) Davis passed away in 2012. He leaves his three children, James Davis and his wife, Karen of Palmer, Cindy Davis of Fitchburg and Cheryl St. Pierre of Leominster; his five grandchildren, Jessica and Joshua Derby, Brandon St. Pierre, Shannon Davis and Emilee Fletcher; his great granddaughter, Zoey Derby; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Tom’s family on Saturday, January 3, from 10-11 a.m. at Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road (Rte.12) Sterling, concluding with a brief service and time of sharing. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Sterling. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the National Kidney Foundation-New England, 85 Astor Avenue, Suite 2, Norwood, MA 02062.
