DUDLEY - Thomas J. Coty, 49, of Dudley, passed away peacefully at home in the presence of his loving family on Tuesday, May 20, 2014, after an illness. He was born in Hartford, Connecticut, son of Patricia (Goulet) and Harold Coty, was raised in Keene, New Hampshire, and lived in Southbridge before moving to Dudley six years ago. He attended Tantasqua Regional High School and was the Facilities Director at YMCA in Westborough for the last four years.



He leaves his best friend of 14 years and wife, Kathryn (Regele) Coty; a daughter, Hannah Coty of Southbridge; a step-son, Charles Aksel of Dudley; a daughter, Faith Coty of Seminole, FL; his father, Harold J. Coty and his companion, Esther Breckenridge of Swanzey, NH; two brothers, Steve Coty and his wife Donna of Hancock, NH and Michael Coty and his wife Becky of Thompson, CT; three sisters, Ceil Scranton and her husband Jim of Chesterfield, NH, Kathy Martz and her fiancé, Scott Perra of Sullivan, NH, and Sarah White and her husband, Christopher of Feeding Hills; and many nephews and nieces. His mother, Patricia (Goulet) Coty, died in 1998.



Relatives and friends are invited to gather with Tom's family from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, May 23, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden, MA. Funeral services and burial are private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Glioblastoma Fund, Attn: Dr. Eudocia Lee, 450 Brookline Avenue, Suite Dana-2112K, Boston, MA 02215.
