Thomas Patrick Bragg

RUTLAND – Thomas P. Bragg, 64, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 9, 2012 at UMass Memorial Healthcare – University Campus in Worcester.

He leaves his wife of 40 years, Maryann (Bagdonas) Bragg; a son, Michael P. Bragg and his wife Jennifer of Southbridge; a daughter, Amy E. Sherman and her husband Phillip of Washington, DC; a brother, William Bragg of Worcester; a sister, Maureen Cote of West Yarmouth; two grandchildren, Jack and Hailey; nephews and nieces.

Thomas was born in Worcester, the son of Thomas P. and Margaret (Donahue) Bragg. He was raised in Auburn and graduated from Auburn High School in 1966 where he played hockey and football. He graduated from Worcester Industrial Technical Institute and in 1970 he served his country in the U.S. Army. Tom worked at Unisys Corp as a computer tech for over forty years. An avid golfer, Tom was a long time member of Holden Hills Country Club. An outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a sports fan. Tom was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, December 13, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. The funeral for Mr. Bragg will be held on Friday, December 14, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home followed by committal service at Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rutland Fire Brigade Rescue Fund, 240 Main Street, Rutland, MA 01543.
