HOLDEN – Theresa M. (Guerin) Aukstikalnis, 70, died at home on Monday, December 13, 2004, in the presence of her loving family.
Her husband of 33 years, Edward P. Aukstikalnis, died in 1992. She leaves three sons, Timothy T. Aukstikalnis of Rutland, Stephen D. Aukstikalnis of Phillipston, and Richard Aukstikalnis of Manchester, New Hampshire; a daughter, Patricia A. McCorkle of Jefferson; two sisters, Linda Preusse of Westborough and Margaret Herbert of Upton; five grandchildren; and a great-grandson. A sister, Adah Sether of Sun City, Arizona, predeceased her. She was born in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, New York, daughter of Julia Guerin, and was raised by her parents Charles Wrenn and Ruth (McGann) Dubois, and lived in Sterling for 31 years before moving to Jefferson eight years ago.
Mrs. Aukstikalnis graduated Bishop McDonald High School in Brooklyn and worked for Nypro in Clinton for eight years. She previously worked for Boutwell Owens Company in Fitchburg and was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Jefferson.
The funeral for Mrs. Aukstikalnis will be held on Saturday, December 18, from the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 114 Princeton Street, Jefferson. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Clinton Road (Rte. 62), Sterling. Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, December 17, in the funeral home.
