STERLING – Theresa Marie (Trudeau) Lizotte, 87, passed away on April 9, 2015 at The Highlands in Fitchburg after an illness. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Walter A. and Agnes (Bedard) Trudeau and graduated from St. Stephen’s High School.
She leaves her loving husband of 66 years, Roland O. Lizotte, Sr.; three sons, Roland O. Lizotte, Jr. and his wife, Janice of Boylston, Paul Lizotte and his wife, Jane of Worcester and John Lizotte and his wife, Judith of Vero Beach, FL; three daughters, Carol Lizotte Cicilio and her husband, John of Fairfield, VT, Christina Thomas and her husband, Chris of Gardner and Amy Walker and her husband, Glenn of Morrisville, VT. She was the beloved grandmother of fourteen grandchildren; two cherished great-grandchildren; many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by eight brothers, Theodore, Wilfred, Joseph, Albert, Raymond, Hector, Francis Henry and Richard Trudeau and a sister, Jeanette Dusoe.
Theresa co-founded Roland’s Office Appliances, Inc. in Worcester with her family in 1951. Previously, she worked at Bill’s Spa, Loding Manufacture and was a bookkeeper and manager at Montgomery Ward in Southbridge. Theresa was a member of St. Cecilia’s Church in Leominster, St. Joseph’s Church in Worcester, a member of Tower Hill Botanical Gardens, the Massachusetts Audubon Society, Woman’s Aglow in the early 1970’s, the Y.W.C.A., and was once a Cub Scout Den Mother for Troop 32 in Worcester. Theresa will be forever remembered as a very caring and generous person who loved to be surrounded by her family. She will be sadly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, April12, in the Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling. Funeral services for Mrs. Lizotte will be held from the funeral home on Monday, April 13, with a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Cecilia’s Church, 180 Mechanic Street, Leominster. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Massachusetts/New Hampshire Chapter, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
