LANCASTER – Theresa C. (Hart) Schartner, 72, of Mill Street Ext., passed away at home on Tuesday, July 1, 2008, surrounded by her loving family.
She leaves two sons, David H. Schartner and his wife Jacqueline of Lancaster, William J. Schartner and his wife Dawn of Leominster; a daughter, Susan Schartner Ducey and her husband Robert Ducey of The Woodlands, TX. A daughter, Kathleen Ann Schartner predeceased her in death in 1985. She also leaves three brothers, Roger and George Hart both of Lancaster and Robert Hart of Northborough; three sisters, Rita Ford and Lucille Shepard both of Lancaster and Julie Constantino of Clinton; seven grandchildren, Kathleen, Erin, Daniel, Ryan and Rory Schartner, and Kristen and Erik Ducey; many nieces and nephews.
Theresa was born and raised in Lancaster, the daughter of John B. and Cecile (Pelletier) Hart, and lived in Lancaster her entire life. She was a graduate of Lancaster High School and worked for Digital Equipment Corporation and Intel Corporation for many years. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sudbury.
A celebration of life for Theresa will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 9th, in the Miles-Sterling Funeral Home, 100 Worcester Road (Rte. 12), Sterling. Burial will follow in Eastwood Cemetery, Old Common Road, Lancaster. Calling Hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8th, in the funeral home.
