WORCESTER – Theodore L. Weiner, 95, died peacefully at home on Thursday, December 1, 2022, with his beloved wife Sheila at his side.
Born in Chelsea, Ted was the son of Nathan and Lena (Goren) Weiner. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy at the age of 17, and proudly served his country during World War II. Following his military service, he attended the University of Massachusetts, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. Ted then pursued a long and varied career in the automotive industry, continuing to work through several retirements.
Ted will be lovingly missed and remembered by his wife of 45 years, Sheila (Grossman) Weiner; his children, Glenn Weiner of Boxborough, Susan Weiner Linscott and her husband, Daniel of Littleton, and Ross Weiler and his wife, Joy of Sudbury; his stepchildren, Eric Bloom of Norwalk, CT, and Laura Anne Bloom of Princeton, NJ; his cherished grandchildren, Nicole, Rachel, Kate, Samantha, Max, and Isabelle; his step-grandchildren, Donna, and Amy; and his great-grandchildren, Emma, and Nathaniel. He was predeceased by his sister Diana Silva and daughter-in-law, M.J. Weiner.
Ted was an avid and accomplished sailor. He enjoyed bowling and relished a conversation regarding “anything on four wheels.”
Family and friends will gather to honor Ted at his Graveside Funeral Service at 1:00 PM on Sunday, December 4 at Mishkan Tefila Memorial Park, 2605 Centre Street, West Roxbury. Memorial Observance will follow immediately at his residence. Arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home of Holden.
