HOLDEN/WORCESTER -- The Rev. Donald F. Chamberlain, 84, passed away peacefully at home in his sleep on Thursday, December 28, 2017. Born and raised in Springfield, Fr. Don was the son of Walter R. and Ruby M. (Stewart) Chamberlain and lived 20 years in Worcester before moving to Holden almost 20 years ago. He leaves his wife of 20 years, Sylvia J. (Rondeau) Roseen Chamberlain. Besides his wife, Fr. Don leaves a son, Steven Chamberlain of Pittsfield; a daughter, Martha Brissette and her husband, Marty of Winthrop; three stepsons, Scott Roseen of Dudley, Mark Roseen of Holden and Drew Dykstar of Auburn; many grand and great grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He is predeceased by two sons, Donald Luke Chamberlain and Bruce Chamberlain; a daughter, Beth Chamberlain; a brother, The Rt. Rev Bruce Chamberlain; and two wives, Constance Chamberlain and Barbara Chamberlain. Fr. Don was educated in Springfield and a graduate of American International College in Springfield and General Theological Seminary of the Episcopal Church in New York City. He served as Pastor of St. Michaels-on-the-Height's Episcopal Church in Worcester from 1977 until his retirement in 2002. He spent the last 15 years serving as the Priest in charge at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Worcester. He will be remembered for his compassion, religious convection and generosity. In his spare time, Fr. Don enjoyed collecting and maintaining motorcycles and cars. He looked forward to weekend motorcycle trips throughout New England with his close friends.
