RUTLAND - Terrence F. Bulger, 66, of Demond Pond Right of Way, died peacefully surrounded by his family at the Life Care Center of Auburn. Mr. Bulger was born in Worcester, the son of Frederick and Helen (Halloran) Bulger and lived in Worcester and Grafton before moving to Rutland in 1979.
Terrence leaves his wife of 42 years, Jean M. (Pietrzak) Bulger of Rutland; his daughter, Cherilyn and her son, Logan Crovello, her partner Corinne and her son Beckett all of Rutland; his son, Thomas and his wife, Athena and their daughter, Gracie all of Auburn; his mother, Helen Bulger of Grafton; his brother, Kevin and his wife, Paula and their daughter Diana all of Worcester; his brothers-in-law Chet, his wife Penny, Paul, his wife Jill; his sisters-in-law Adele and her husband Dave, Susan and her husband Mark, Joanne and her husband Brian; and several other nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. He is predeceased by a sister, Marilyn Bulger.
Terrence graduated from Saint John’s High School in Shrewsbury and went on to earn his Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He proudly served his country as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict. Terrance then earned two Master’s Degrees from Worcester State College in both Secondary and Health Education. A devoted math educator, he taught for over 30 years at Holy Name High School in Worcester, Shrewsbury High School followed by Worcester Vocational High School, retiring in 2008.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend memorial calling hours from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 29, at the Miles Funeral Home 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 30, at the funeral home. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
