WORCESTER - Terrel Yonda passed peacefully in her sleep the morning of 9/24/22. Terrel was born Peggy Ann Terrel, the daughter of the late Markley and Alma (Sink) Terrel, on September 26, 1934 in Klamath Falls Oregon. When her husband objected to her keeping her own name, she took Terrel for her first name.
She is predeceased by her husband, Fred, who was the love of her life, in 2009. She lived in Medway and Millbury before moving to Worcester. She leaves three daughters; Jeanne Arp of Austin TX, Jeannette Homelvig and her husband Lauren of Bowman ND, and Anne Desmond and her husband Edward Jr of Worcester MA. She also leaves her brother William’s widow Sharon Terrel of Petaluma CA. Terrel also leaves five grandchildren and several nieces.
She was an Executive Secretary until her retirement in 1999. She was a member of the National Secretaries, and the Legal Secretaries Associations. She enjoyed gardening, playing piano, traveling to Israel and Italy. She brought in many New Years in Jamaica. She was a member of Congregation Beth Israel.
Family and friends will gather for a Graveside Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 28 at Framingham-Natick Hebrew Cemetery, Fairview Avenue, Natick. Arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home of Holden.
