Ted J. Brunter

HOLDEN – Ted J. Brunter, 60, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2023, at UMass Memorial Healthcare – University Campus after an illness. He was born in La Chapelle Saint-Mesmin, France, the son of the late John Brunter and had lived in Glen Cove, Long Island, NY for years before moving to Holden.

He leaves his daughter, Jessica Brunter of Windermere, Florida; his mother, Jean A. (Backstrom) Brunter of Holden, his grandchildren, Mayanna, and Jayce; his brother, Randy Brunter and his wife, Patricia of Los Alamitos, CA; and his aunt, nieces, nephews, grandnephews, and cousins.

Ted was a very skilled carpenter by trade and could always be found helping his neighbors and friends with various projects. Ted had a presence. He was alive and boisterous and was caring by nature. He will be sadly missed.

Funeral services for Ted will be held on Friday, July 28th with a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church, 114 Princeton Street, Jefferson, MA 01522. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Church, or to the Finnish Heritage Society Sovittaja, 250 Bailey Road, Holden, MA 01520.
