Biography
WORCESTER – Sylvia A. (Shreiar) Leffkov, age 82, of 1012 Pleasant Street, Worcester, died on Saturday, May 16, 2015 in Northwest Medical Center in Margate, FL. Her husband, Walter Leffkov, died in 2011.
She was born in Brockton, MA, a daughter of Nathan and Anne (Madnick) Shreiar, and had lived in Worcester most of her life.
She leaves a son, Barry Leffkov and his wife, Sandra Kesner-Leffkov of Coconut Creek, FL; a daughter, Anne Berkowitz of Worcester; a brother, Marvin Shreiar and his wife, Marilyn, of Tamarac, FL; and three grandchildren, Joshua Berkowitz, Natalie Berkowitz and Heather Berkowitz and Joe Haringa. She was predeceased by a son, Michael Leffkov.
She was employed as an assembler for many years for Parker Manufacturing.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 11:00 A.M. ON WEDNESDAY, MAY 20 AT YESHIVA ACHEI TIMIMIM, 22 NEWTON AVENUE IN WORCESTER UNDER THE DIRECTION OF RICHARD PERLMAN OF MILES FUNERAL HOME OF HOLDEN. Burial will be in Holy Society Cemetery in Leicester.
Memorial Observance will be held through Wednesday evening, May 20, at the residence of Anne Berkowitz, 1012 Pleasant Street, Worcester.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
