Sylvia L. Jarras

SHREWSBURY- Sylvia L. Jarras, 86, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021. She was predeceased by her parents, John V. and Vasilica M. (Chekani) Jarras. She was a 1952 graduate of Commerce High School.

Sylvia was an auditor for the former Tom McCann Shoe Company for more than 40 years. She loved her church, St. Mary’s Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church in Worcester. As a member of St. Mary’s, Sylvia was active in the Daughters of St. Mary, the Women’s Guild, and was a member of the Albanian Women’s Organization of America. We wish to thank the staff at the Lutheran Home for the compassionate care provided to Sylvia during her recent stay.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at 10:00 AM in St. Mary’s Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church, 535 Salisbury Street, Worcester for Sylvia’s funeral with the Rev. Fr. Mark Doku officiating. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery.
