WORCESTER - Sylvia Fierer Glick, 86, a lifelong resident of Worcester, MA died peacefully on June 27, 2023. Sylvia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was the daughter of Samuel and Rose (Shevitz) Fierer.
Sylvia was a member of Hadassah, the Jewish Healthcare Center and its Auxiliary, Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Jewish Community Center, Vice-President of the National Council of Jewish Women, a member of the Board of Directors of the Worcester Jewish Federation, and was a longtime member of Congregation Beth Israel and its Sisterhood. She also maintained memberships at Tower Hill Botanical Gardens, the Worcester Art Museum, and Music Worcester.
She cherished her time with her family and the Worcester community. She also loved spending winters in Key Biscayne Florida and summers in Ogunquit Maine. Sylvia and David made friends wherever they traveled and continued many of these friendships over the years. Sylvia loved to read, needlepoint, knit, and do puzzles.
Sylvia is survived by her loving children; a son, Jeff Glick and his partner, Joanne McDonnell of Worcester, and a daughter Debby Roseman and her husband, Jeffrey of Fairfield CT; five grandchildren, Ben and Drew Roseman and Emily Tillett, and Sam and Matt Glick; and eight great-grandchildren, Zachary and Jacob Roseman, Mia and Ben Glick, Ayla and Zoey Roseman, Tyler and Sara Tillett.
Family and friends will gather to honor Sylvia’s life at her Funeral Service at 11:30 AM on Thursday, June 29th at the Eisenberg Assisted Living Residence, 631 Salisbury Street, Worcester. Memorial Observance will be announced.
