WORCESTER – Suzanne “Peg” M. (Cote) Coonan, of 58 Oneida Avenue, died Wednesday, December 1, 2004, in UMass Memorial Hospital.
She leaves her husband of 37 years, Michael W. Coonan; her son, Michael P. Premo of Pembroke, FL; her step children, David M. Coonan of San Francisco and Michelle E. Walton of Lunenburg; two brothers, Joseph L. Cote of Holden and Donald R. Cote of Ashford, CT; two sisters, Marie Jeannette Michaud of Spencer and Elaine Arsenault of Sutton; two grandchildren, Jenna and Brooke Premo; nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Joseph L. and Marie (Gallant) Cote, Sr., and lived all of her life in Worcester. She graduated South High School.
Mrs. Coonan was a Licensed Practical Nurse for 15 years working most recently for Webster Square Medical Center. Previously she worked for Doctor’s, St. Vincent and Fairlawn Hospitals. She attended St. Peter’s Church and enjoyed dancing and traveling. She was a talented figure skater and performed in several local figure skating shows.
The funeral for Mrs. Coonan will be held on Monday, December 6, from the Miles-Sterling Funeral Home, 100 Worcester Road (Rte. 12), Sterling, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Peter’s Church, 931 Main Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. Calling hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, December 5, in the funeral home.
