Suzanne M. (Laroche) Donaldson

June 19, 1959 — June 26, 2021

HOLDEN – Suzanne M. (LaRoche) Donaldson, a well-known figure in Holden, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2021, at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester. She was 62.

Born in Cornwall, Ontario, Suzanne lived briefly in Lewiston, ME before moving to Westborough, where she spent most of her childhood. Although she had many jobs over her lifetime, she truly enjoyed helping the seniors in her local community through running the Meals on Wheels program at the Holden Senior Center.

She loved sewing and her trips to North Conway, NH, and Old Orchard Beach, ME twice a year. She loved the wildlife in her backyard, and one time actually ran towards a black bear out of pure excitement, only to promptly run as fast as she could back towards her house.

She will be remembered for her sarcasm, delicious homemade baked desserts, wild dance moves, and love for everyone, both family and friends.

She will be lovingly missed by her husband of 35 years, Steven E. Donaldson of Holden; her mother, Germaine M. LaRoche of Shrewsbury; her children, Melody Leighton and her husband, Donald of Portsmouth, RI, Tina Nason and her husband, Mat of West Brookfield, Michelle Smith and her husband, Chris of East Brookfield, Scott Humphrey and his wife, Leanne of Worcester, and Nicole Quidon and her wife, Reina of Worcester; two brothers, Michael LaRoche and his wife, Maria of Oxford, Daniel LaRoche and his wife, Nadia of Westborough; two sisters, Judith Kubiak and her husband, Doug of Shrewsbury, Joanne Kelly of Oxford; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Gerald LaRoche. She leaves behind 15 grandchildren, Meagan, Jade, Cameron, Brooke, Alexis, Ryanne, Teagan, Angeliz, Nova, Samantha, Marabeth, Nicholas, Brianna, Brandon, and Kai; 2 great-grandchildren, Jude and Leeland.

A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden.
