PRINCETON – Suzanna Louise (Roberts) Cleveland, 80, passed away on June 15, 2022 at home, surrounded by her family. Known to many as Gramma Sue, she was born in Williamsburg, Maine, daughter of Alvin and Hattie Roberts. Her husband of almost 51 years, Peter G. Cleveland, passed away in 2009.
She leaves her children: Kenneth Cleveland and his wife, Jan Gottesman of Worcester; Peggy Sue Leclerc and her husband Steve of Leominster; Belinda Lea Cringan and her husband Peter of Gardner; Pete “PJ” Cleveland of Princeton; Cora Mae Cleveland of Baldwinville; and Sarah Lynn Cleveland of Baldwinville, as well as three grandchildren, Jennifer, Adam and Laura Leclerc, step-grandchild David Shirley and great grandchild Avalee Leclerc. She was predeceased by a son, Edward Cleveland, in 2014; her five brothers and nine sisters; and her daughter-in-law Kym Hauser.
Suzanna grew up in Maine, and met Peter when he was best man and she was maid of honor at her sister Astrid’s wedding. She later moved to Princeton and married Peter. Together they raised seven children.
She enjoyed children, making candies and afghans for family and friends and toys for the shelter cats.
At her request, funeral services are private and she will be interred beside her husband in Woodlawn Cemetery, Princeton, in a private ceremony.
