Susan Joan King
July 18, 1944 — February 3, 2023
HOLDEN – Susan Joan King went home to be with Jesus on February 3, 2023.
Susan was born in Hudson, MA, the daughter of the late Edward L. and Grace M. (Wiggin) King. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Jonathan and Eddie King.
She leaves her sister, Barbara Hutchings and brother-in-law, Richard Hutchings of Hubbardston; two nephews, Brian Hutchings of Florida and Mark Hutchings and his wife, Lucy and their 3 children of New Hampshire.
Susan graduated from Hudson High School with honors and got a great job at Raytheon Company in Sudbury, MA, where she worked for many years.
Susan lived in the Berkshires for 10 years and in Baltimore for over 10 years until she moved back to Worcester. She retired from UMass Hospital in 2008 and moved to Holden.
While in Baltimore, she worked with many different outreaches – feeding the homeless, Sunday school ministry, and she and her wonderful outreach team visited hundreds of children and their families every week and bussed them to Sunday school. They also took the children on special bus trips to the zoo, on picnics, to the beach and other fun places.
Susan loved animals and especially her beloved cat, “Cali.”
Susan attended Heritage Bible Chapel in Princeton for many years.
A private burial will be held at Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson.
