ACTON – Susan J. Andrews, 55, of 85 Hosmer Street, died Wednesday, December 14, 2005, in the Sterling Healthcare Center after an illness.
She leaves her step-mother, Mary Elizabeth Andrews of Dunnellon, Florida; three brothers, James E. Andrews, Jr. of Deerfield, Illinois; Thomas R. Andrews of Kennesaw, Georgia and Timothy F. Andrews of Charlotte, North Carolina; three sisters, Linda B. Miles of Sterling, Meredith Gorr of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Rachel Andrews of Florida; two aunts, an uncle, several nieces and nephews and many loving friends. A sister, Dawn Heeter of Florida, predeceased her. She was born in Marlborough, daughter of James E. and Barbara (McLane) Andrews, Sr., and has lived in Action since the 1970’s. She was a graduate of Tahanto Regional High School in Boylston and the University of Vermont in Burlington.
Susan was a group secretary for MIT Lincoln Laboratory in Lexington where she worked for 25 years. She was a member of the First Parish Church in Berlin, the Colonial Pines Condo Association and the Corvette Club of Cape Cod. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
The funeral service for Susan will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 21, in the Miles-Sterling Funeral Home, 100 Worcester Road (Rte. 12), Sterling. Burial will follow in North Cemetery, Highland Street, Berlin. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 20, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association, 393 Maple Street, Springfield, MA 01105.
