Steven B. Gordon

November 10, 1948 — December 21, 2020

WEST BOYLSTON – Steven B. Gordon, loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and avid train collector, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 21, 2020 at The Oasis at Dodge Park in Worcester. He was 72.

Born in Everett, the son of the late Samuel and Dora (Resnick) Gordon, Steve was raised in Chelsea, graduated from Chelsea High School and Boston University, and received his Master’s Degree in Chemistry from Clark University.

As many knew, he was passionate about anything to do with trains. He spent years creating beautiful model train scenery and running model trains in his basement. People who visited the house always asked to see them.

Steve also loved to travel. As a family, the Gordons traveled all over the United States. Steve loved train trips crossing the Rockies and exploring national parks. The trip by train from Chicago to Los Angeles left memories his family will never forget.

In his spare time, Steve would pursue his other interests including learning about history and World War II, looking for eagles and hawks, and outsmarting everyone with correct answers on Jeopardy.

Above all, Steve loved his children and grandchildren and he will be lovingly missed by his wife, Cathy J. (Hopewell) Gordon; a son, Jeffrey A. Gordon and his wife, Krista of Hudson; a daughter, Robin N. Gordon and her husband, Leo McCarthy; a brother, Barry Gordon and his wife, Renee of Virginia; and three grandchildren, Shania, Caitlyn and Alex.
