HOLDEN - Steven Paul Dube, 58, a lifelong Holden resident, passed away battling an illness on Wednesday, June 15, 2016. Steven was born in Worcester, son of the late Wilfred J. and Ann Marie (DiMarzio) Dube.
Steven graduated from the Worcester Boy’s Trade High School with class of 1976 and worked for the Norton Company of Worcester for several years. More recently Steven freelanced as a general contractor. Steven took great pride in everything he did and this is evident in his woodwork and also the meticulous way he cared for his yard. He loved spending time with his family in Old Orchard Beach, ME., and was an avid Patriots and Celtics fan. Most of all, he was a wonderful son, brother and friend who will be missed greatly by all who knew him.
Steven was predeceased by his parents as well as his brother Ronald who died in 2008. Steven is survived by his brother, David Dube and his wife, Patti of Old Orchard Beach, ME., as well as their dog, Jack who knew Steven as “Uncle Chew Chew”.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service honoring Steven’s life at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 20 at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, 162 Webster St., Worcester. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
